Welcome to the New Life Acupuncture Clinic
We identify the root cause of your condition while treating your symptoms. You can relieve stress and get back on the road to a healthy, balanced body and mind using the time-tested techniques of Oriental Medicine. This approach supports your body’s innate ability to restore its natural state of wellness.
Dr. Choe has been a skilled acupuncturist for over 40 years. He is a primary healthcare provider licensed by the states of North Carolina, Virginia, & Maryland Medical Health Boards. He holds an M.D. in Oriental Medicine and a Masters degree in Acupuncture from South Baylo University. He is nationally board certified for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), which meets nationally recognized standards of competence and safety.
For those of you who have never tried Acupuncture before, we would like to put your mind at ease and let you know that the welfare of our patients is our top priority. We offer gentle loving care to our patients that need relief from their pain. We will do our best to help you, always keeping in mind the safety and comfort of our patients. Many people find it an uncomfortable thought to have acupuncture performed because it can be painful to have your veins poked with needles when you go to the doctor to have blood drawn, but Acupuncture is NOTHING like that at all. Most patients find their Acupuncture sessions very relaxing and time in a busy day to just relax.
"I've never met a more caring, wonderful man whose education far surpasses most of the professionals I've met. Dr. Choe has impressed me beyond words and he will be greatly missed in the Greensboro, North Carolina area. I have personally been healed by his skills and will drive to whatever state necessary should I ever need his healing again." (Michael Johnson, Neuromuscular Massage Therapist)

USING ACUPUNCTURE SERVICES TO TREAT THESE MEDICAL CONDITIONS:
BACK PAIN
Back pain is described as pain or discomfort of the upper, middle or lower back. Acupuncture, both local (at the site of pain) and distal (away from area of pain) can be used to help resolve the problem. We specialize in back pain, providing you with unique and extremely effective treatments to quickly reduce your pain. We focus on areas directly on the back as well as other points in the system to provide you with fast relief. Most people experience a significant reduction of back pain just after one session!
ELBOW PAIN
This may be caused by over-use, arthritis, bursitis, tendonitis, nerve damage, injury, infection or tumor. Dr. Choe uses a combination of therapies so effective, they relieve pain and restore normal nerve functions. Inflamed tissues, muscles and tendons receive the healing energy they need to function properly.
HERNIATED DISC
This pain is usually accompanied by pain and is caused by slight, temporary displacement injury to the spinal nerve. Dr. Choe helps reduce the swelling of the inflamed disc, decreasing your pain and aiding the body in it’s natural healing process. As the pain subsides, he works with you to restore your range of motion, and increase flexibility and strength to prevent future recurrence.
HIP PAIN
This can arise from illnesses such as arthritis, osteoarthritis, viral or bacterial infections, bursitis, and from over-use. These factors can all contribute to inflamed tissues in and around the hip causing pain. Our Acupuncture therapy effectively relaxes your deeper muscle groups to stop muscle spasms, reduces the pain signals that cause hip pain, and restores your pain free mobility. (IT REALLY WORKS TOO!!)
KNEE PAIN
This can be caused by conditions such as arthritis, bursitis, ligament instability or an accident. Whether your knee pain is chronic or acute, or the result of a sprain/strain injury, we will create a unique treatment plan just for you. Knee conditions respond very well to acupuncture, and we have produced dramatic reductions in pain and symptoms, as well as improvements in function, stability and range of motion.
NECK PAIN
This can originate from disorders and diseases of the neck tissue, such as degenerative disc disease, neck strain, whiplash, a herniated disc, or a pinched nerve. We specialize in neck pain, providing you with unique and extremely effective treatments that quickly reduce your pain. Oftentimes, neck spasms are the root cause of discomfort. We relax your muscles and loosen tight knots, providing you with a fast and easy fix. Our patients are surprised and pleased at how soon they experience improved health, increased mobility and relaxation.
NEUROPATHY
This usually causes pain and numbness in the hands and feet. We improve blood flow to the affected areas, which reduces inflammation and provides oxygen to the nerves. Dr. Choe is able to actually stimulate and restore proper nerve function! Our patients experience a great reduction in pain, and return to their full range of motion. We also find that the use of electrical stimulation with the needles is very helpful.
SCIATICA
This is pain is caused by irritation to one of the largest nerves in the legs and thighs. Sciatica can be very painful, especially around the hip and thigh region. We relieve muscle spams, help to reduce nerve inflammation, reduce pain, and promote healing. You will have a better and pain free range of motion in no time!
SHOULDER PAIN
This pain may be felt in the neck and down the arm, in addition to the shoulder. The shoulder is a ball and socket joint, making it more prone to painful injury that can limit mobility. We focus to release muscle tightness in the neck and shoulder muscles. In doing so, they reduce pain, which will help you increase your range of motion, and improve overall functionality. Low-Frequency electric acupuncture treatment may also be utilized in certain cases.
WRIST PAIN
This may be the result of damage to any of the part of your wrist, and the associated pain can affect your ability to use your wrist and hand. We focus on increasing the blood flow throughout the wrist to restore needed energy to this area.
